process
After watching the 1971 Willy Wonka film, I knew I wanted to make this project inspired by it. I prepared my assets and styleframes in Photoshop before importing them into After Effects. I used a 3D camera and nulls to create a motion parallax. I added posterize time, roughen edges, and wiggle expressions to give it a more textured look. The fingers were animated by sectioning it into 3 to 4 parts, parenting the extremities and placing the anchor points towards its end, then animating the rotations.
